Take-Two CEO assures GTA 6 will be something brand new and, at the same time, have a fine touch of the past, and fans are going crazy.
Rockstar has always been on its best behavior when it came to publishing the Grand Theft Auto series. With every game released in the market, the story, graphics, mechanics, and overall aspects never failed to impress fans. However, the community always had one appeal, and that was to release GTA 6. After all, Rockstar released GTA 5 in 2013, depriving fans of the new title for almost a decade. So what exactly could be the problem?

Looking at this, Take-Two’s CEO sparred some words about their upcoming sequel. He was featured on Good Time Show podcast, talking about the future of GTA 6.
“In the entertainment business, we adopt our hits like they’re part of us, they’re part of our family, you know, we have a great affinity for them and we take it personally if people screw around with them like it’s not okay if the creators make a choice that is inconsistent with how we think these hits should be developed,” Zelnick revealed when asked.

Then, he explained how the team wanted a Midas touch for GTA 6. “It needs to be something you’ve never seen before on one hand, and it needs to reflect the feeling that we have about Grand Theft Auto, and that’s a big challenge for the team,” something that he stressed.

And not to forget that recent earnings call where the CEO revealed a massive line-up for 2024. According to reports, GTA 6 will release somewhere around 2024, with a few more titles here and there. But the real question is, will it have any other connection apart from being based in Vice City? Only time will help us understand.
