Rockstar Games have finally confirmed the next entry in their critically acclaimed franchise, Grand Theft Auto, GTA 6. After years of silence and no words on anything remotely associated with the new mainline entry, the developers revealed that the project is in the works.
Now, days after their unexpected revelation on Twitter, new reports have been released by the publisher, Take-Two Interactive. Which hint that GTA 6 could release sooner than previously anticipated. Take-Two drops massive hint at the potential release date for GTA 6
In the reports majorly focussing on the results of Q3 of the fiscal year 2022, Take-Two reveals its massive success in the past months. The first three-quarters have been nothing less of exceptional for the publishers, achieving their goals comfortably.
But what piques a gamer’s interest the most is the possible launch details of Grand Theft Auto 6.

According to the latest reports, Take-Two is on track to release GTA V for the next-gen consoles, PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S alongside the GTA Online Standalone variant this summer, on March 15, 2022. Essentially hinting that GTA 6 is next in line.
As for the accurate launch period, the report mentions, “Updated FY23/24 pipeline details to be given with Q4 FY2022 results.” To give readers a better understanding, the investors’ call for the final quarter of 2022 scheduled for March will reveal further details of all the titles underway. And that includes GTA 6.
Hence, financial year 23/24 would be the ones to watch out for GTA 6 aspirants. FY23 kicks in around April 2022, but it is more likely the world will be well into FY24, i.e. 2023, possibly 2024 (Q4 of FY23), before the title releases.
Although the report does not exclusively specify GTA 6 in their development pipeline, it does read “we may also add new titles to our slate.” This also means that GTA 6 could be officially reflected in financial reports soon.
As is with any GTA 6 report, this information could be subject to change as the developers/publishers’ plans and any unfortunate delays. Readers must take the speculation with a pinch of salt.
