Nerdforge is a YouTube channel that is dedicated to unique customizations of several things. From XBOX to Nintendo Switch, Martina (host of the channel) has made her mark with her unique themed designs. Here is her latest design where she customizes a Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo Switch gets a medieval touch

In Nerdforge’s latest video, fans could see Martina customizing a Nintendo Switch. And what better theme to give the console than a vintage Zelda design! For this, she decided to make the gates of the Hyrule Castle and planned to make a 3D model of Link, Zelda’s own protagonist. Martina chooses Golden Acrylics to paint the console canvas. She creates a beautiful scenery on the canvas to match the greenery one can notice in the world of Zelda.

The castle gates were built from XPS foam. Putting her heart and soul into the design, Martina completed it creating the gates. Her detailing on the model is impeccable and praiseworthy. She details each side of the gates with perfection. Like adding cobblestone design to the top part of the gate while trying to show the base structure to be large bricks.

The detailing doesn’t stop there! Martina makes sure that each of her models has that gothic castle feel. She achieves this by washing her model with black paint and water mix. Later she hand-tailors the flags for Hyrule and adds them to her model. Again, her detailing is off the charts. For ensuring the flags get a wavy feel, she adds metal wires to them. While Hansi models the console colours to match the castle, Martina adds the finishing touches to the model.

The final product is sure to amaze the viewers. It took them 12 days to create the entire model!
