Starfield became one of the most anticipated games of the year right after its announcement. Fans were looking forward to 11th June when Bethesda Studios promised to unveil more details about the game at the Xbox Showcase 2023. Bethesda hinted at revealing more gameplay footage and finer details about Starfield and also disclose more information on Starfield Direct at the e-Sports convention.

A technical leak only hours before the official reveal, seems to have the answer to a vital question that the fans have been pondering over: how long will it actually be?

“Technical leak” sparks rumors over the exact duration

The Xbox Showcase would be the final event of the Summer Game Fest, where the company will be announcing and showcasing a host of upcoming releases. Though the duration of the event has not been specified by Microsft yet, the Starfield Direct showcase is believed to be the highlight of the event as its concluding session.

Only hours before the event, a technical leak seems to have disclosed the exact duration of the event as one hour fifty-two minutes, and nineteen (01:52:19) seconds. Now fans can’t wait to see how long will the event allot to Starfield Direct: whether a meaty chunk is thrown at them or a snippet lasting only minutes is all they receive.

Starfield Direct is widely rumored to be the platform where fans can learn more about upcoming Bethesda releases. The showcase is slotted to be aired immediately after the Xbox 2023 Showcase. The Starfield Direct reveal would showcase tons of new gameplay as well as give access to a lot of behind-the-scenes materials including developer interviews.

The Starfield Direct may also feature some deep dives into the constellation system of Starfield, in-game cities, and ship customization options. A complex dialogue feature has the fans enthralled and they can’t wait to see more of the gameplay.

Bethesda Games, with titles like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the Wolfenstein franchise under its repertoire, announced Starfield back in November 2022, through an official trailer, and set the actual release date as 6 September 2023. Since then, the gaming community has had to wait a torturous year to try the game hands-on.

Understandably, they have waited patiently to have a gulp of air at the Xbox Showcase before holding on to their breath again. Xbox Showcase will premier at 10:00 am PT and 01:00 pm ET.
