But it seems many didn’t like the handheld aspect of the device, as some gamers preferred gaming on big screens. So, a YouTuber came up with a unique idea to experience the handheld console in a bigger manner. And the same unique Switch console was donated by the YouTuber to a children’s hospital.

World’s Largest Nintendo Switch

Switch was built focusing on handheld gaming, so gamers can enjoy gaming even while traveling. But some prefer to relax at home and play games on a big screen. So, the Japanese giants even had a solution for that as they had a dock that allows fans to stream Nintendo Switch games on a big screen and play.

But it seems Michael Pick, a software engineer from Texas, had some other ideas. He built a gigantic Nintendo Switch and even called it “World’s LARGEST Nintendo Switch” on his YouTube channel. Although no official records exist about it being the world’s largest Switch, it is undoubtedly bigger than a regular Nintendo.

According to Pick, this gigantic Switch is 650 times bigger than the regular one. The regular Switch’s dimensions are 6.9 x 4.0 inches, while this giant one was  70 x 30 inches. One might wonder the reason behind a huge Switch, but Pick made this as a charitable piece for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Moreover, he loves to build giant devices as he also built a massive Xbox and Nerf gun.

How does the Largest Switch work?

The technology behind his largest Switch isn’t something over the top. As he just used a big 4K display enclosed in a custom-made case that resembles a giant Switch. Further, he connected the giant joy-cons to regular joy-cons by servos.

The huge Switch can be controlled using the giant joy-cons or an external Pro-controller. Then he hooked a standard Switch to the big screen using a dock.
