Revenge is served best cold. In sports, there have been some monumental paybacks that made their way into history. Some of these may be considered petty, but still, people have polarized opinions about them. Moreover, most of these paybacks are supported by subjective claims as well. The recent one on this list is regarding Israel Adesanya.
His recent bout with Alex Pereira was a monumental win for him. But what caught the eye of the internet was the gesture Adesanya showed right after the match. Recently, Hasan Piker, WillNeff, and QTCinderella were seen reacting to what actually went down.

Something that makes a sports personality stand out is their unique styles and gimmicks. From John Cena’s iconic ‘You Can’t See Me’ gesture to Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘Siiuuu’ celebration, the sporting world is filled with marque actions.
But after his incredible win against Alex Pereira, what the ‘Last Stylebender’ did was actually not something that he cooked up.

HasanAbi, Will, and QT in the recent ‘Fear& Podcast’, were seen reacting to the actual cause of the issue. Adesanya did that to mock a 10-year-old kid. This sweet revenge was rooted in the athlete’s mind for a few years now.
That is, in 2017, Israel Adesanya faced Alex Pereira in the ‘Glory of Heroes 7’ event. The venue was in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Though the fight was expected to last a bit longer, the Last Stylebender was KO by Poatan with a left hook in round three. Soon after the match got over, Pereira’s son came onto the stage and enacted the very emote that Adesanya did a few days ago.
It seems like the Nigerian martial artist held onto that memory and waited for his sweet revenge. Which he finally got after 6 years at UFC 287. After knocking out Pereira, Adesanya turned towards the child and showed the same emote he did years ago. The kid burst into tears after seeing this.

“That is the most anime protag s**t ever,” added WillNeff who was quite impressed after watching Israel Adesanya’s press meet.
This gesture by the 33-year-old will go down in history as one of the most hilarious and sweetest revenge of UFC. It would be even more interesting if he again bouts with Pereira so that we can see another ‘petty yet memorable’ revenge unfolding in the octagon.
