But as all good things have to end, this tournament also concluded on May 21. However, the conclusion of this tournament also marked the end of an era.

With Counter-Strike 2 now revealed to be on the way for Summer 2023, Valve has announced that the BLAST Paris Major will be the final Major in CS:GO. This announcement had a bittersweet effect on fans. Although many were excited about the upcoming Valve title, they were finding it hard to bid adieu to their favorite FPS competition. And the reveal of the trophy for the last CS:GO Major really opened the floodgates of emotions from the fans, however, in a wrong way.

The last CS:GO trophy was lifted by a French organization

In his recent Tweet, eSports journalist Jake Lucky revealed the BLAST CS:GO Major Trophy. The trophy had the BLAST logo in purple with a base of yellow liquid texture surrounding it.

The team that lifted this trophy was Team Vitality. They defeated GamerLegion 2-0 to become the last-ever CS:GO Major champions. The members of the French organization also created some personal records of their own. This was ZywOo’s first-ever trophy, while his teammate dupreeh became the only player to win five CS:GO trophies.

Although Team Vitality and their fans would be happy for the French organization to become the last Major champions, some fans were rather unimpressed by the trophy.

They deemed this last Major trophy to be a letdown. They wanted the trophy to be more grandeur in nature, considering this will mark the end of CS:GO Majors. And the fans felt the color scheme was rather a bold option to opt for.
