In the world of gaming, the Sony PlayStation is one of the biggest names. The gaming juggernaut has an unbeatable reputation among fans. With its massive first-party gaming library and a highly sought-after next-gen console, very few are able to stand up to Sony’s influence in the gaming market.

Other than making gaming consoles and publishing first-party titles, the PlayStation company has an online service named PlayStation plus. This Service offers a variety of perks to each subscriber.

From free games selection every month to other online perks, PlayStation Plus service is worth its price. But there is a glaring insufficiency in the service that after all this time Sony has shown negligence in solving. This has left a sour taste in many users’ mouths.  

PlayStation Plus’ biggest issue that Sony hasn’t fixed yet 

The PlayStation Plus service every month has a massive selection of games that can be downloaded for free. These selections contain some of the best games among the recent releases. But that’s not it. The online service also offers a classics section in the monthly selection, with some evergreen titles for the previous generations.

On November 12, 2022, online gaming YouTuber Spawn Wave uploaded a video where he talked about the online service by PlayStation. In the video, he pointed out that the classic sections of the monthly library are very limited in comparison to the other sections.

Even in November 2022, in the selection there are only five games in the classic section: 

  • Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando | PS3 
  • Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal | PS3 
  • Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked | PS3 
  • Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction | PS3 
  • Ratchet & Clank | PS3

According to Spawn, this section of the service can be fixed and turned into something way better. As the PlayStation has a rich library of classics from the previous generations and making them available to the service will add a lot of value to the subscription.
