Final Fantasy XVI, the latest in the list of long-running RPG series, has finally got its release date at The Game Awards. The upcoming game would be released exclusively for PlayStation 5 in 2023. This exclusive RPG was announced very long ago during one of Sony’s PlayStation 5 showcases.

And with the dates finally announced, all that’s left for the fans to do is now count the remaining days to get their hands on it.

Final Fantasy XVI release date and pre-order bonuses revealed

The date was followed by a brand-new trailer for the game. As for the trailer, it itself featured a bunch of elaborate story details. The revelation of its release date really made fans go all out with excitement during the Live Event of the game awards 2022.

The date itself was announced by the game’s producer, Naoki Yoshida himself. He came on the stage and announced that the game would be launching on June 22, 2023.

A while ago, the pre-order bonuses for this game were also revealed through a leak. Those who pre-order the game can expect a lot more than just the game. With the standard edition of the game, they would receive a Weapon “Braveheart”, an Accessory called “Ketsy’s Lucky Charm” and another Accessory “Scholar’s Glasses.”

Those pre-ordering the game through the PS store would get the following things:

• “Ketsy’s Lucky Charm” is an accessory that increases the amount of gill you can get when equipped.
• “Scholar’s Glasses” are accessories that increase the number of experience points you can gain when equipped.
• The expiration date for each digital award is 23:59 on December 31, 2030. Please use it until the due date.
• Each digital benefit can be received from the “Main Menu > System >Item Post” in the game. The “Item Post” will be unlocked after about 2 hours of progress in the game.

Finally, those who order a digital deluxe edition of the game from the PlayStation store would receive a Digital Mini Artbook and a Digital Mini Soundtrack.

The series won big at the Game Awards 2022

Aside from announcing the release date of its latest installment, the developers of Final Fantasy won big during the game awards.

The ongoing online MMORPG game in the series Final Fantasy XIV won the Best Ongoing Game and Best Community Support Awards during the show.

Final Fantasy is a series of action RPG games, and the last installment in the series was released in 2016. After seven years of waiting, fans are finally getting a new installment in their favorite RPG series. And they were eagerly waiting for some news on the release date of this new game.
