It has handled some really demanding games and has stayed cool in some of the most demanding of circumstances. Graphically intense games are everywhere nowadays, from Demon Souls Remake to Gran Turismo. This console has handled them like it’s supposed to, by staying cool and quiet. The ventilation and that liquid metal thing seem to really work to keep this console cool.

But it appears this well-made machine has found its match in the form of Square Enix’s latest masterpiece, Final Fantasy XVI. Reports have started dropping on the internet talking about how this game is overheating most PlayStation 5 consoles. This problem seems like a well-spread one too. Those posts are seeing a bunch of supporters too. A number of fans are coming out with a similar problem.

If this problem is actually as widespread as it seems, here’s hoping that Square Enix is listening to this criticism and is currently working on a fix. For the time being, Final Fantasy XVI seems like one of those games that users have to start playing at their own risk.
