This device had been a long time coming, ever since Sony launched PS5. Fans were equally eager for it and eventually, Sony made the first VR accessory compatible with their latest console but never talked about VR2.
And when they did, words like revolutionary and game changer were spoken beside it. And now, it’s finally out, fans can experience it first-hand!

PlayStation VR2 was one of the first things fans asked for when Sony released the PlayStation 5. In fact, when Sony revealed this console, fans were left wondering why they were not shown a VR companion device for the PS5.

Sony eventually revealed that they were working on a VR device for PlayStation 5 console. But they took their sweet time revealing any real details regarding it. When the device was finally launched though, the console maker revealed a bunch of exciting details about it.

Dualsense Implementation, OLED HDR displays with 4k resolution, eye tracking technology, and 3D audio support were some of the most exciting features of this device. The more information Sony revealed, the more excited fans got about it.

The feature set was closely followed by a list of games appearing for VR2. From breath-taking original games such as Horizon Call of the Mountain to VR versions of successful titles like Resident Evil Village and No ma’s Sky.
Sony has everything covered and now that the reviews have started dropping in, it appears they have done everything right too. Critics are calling Call of the Mountain and Resident Evil Village the biggest attractions.
Digital Foundry even pointed out that Resident Evil Village was actually made from the ground up for this device. And Capcom is even working on a free VR upgrade for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake. Capcom’s dedication to VR is unlike anything we have seen from a third-party publisher as of yet.

Fans are extremely excited about this new device
While Sony took a while to launch it, fans are happy nevertheless. Many have already ordered it while others await the right to do so. But all of them are excited about it, that’s for sure.
