The Last of Us and Uncharted Developer is Doubling Down on Hiring for a New Multiplayer Game

Last of Us II, released last June 2021, was a tremendous success for Naughty Dog. They have always focused on single-play experiences with the recent franchises like Uncharted and The Last of Us, along with the Jak and Daxter series in the early 2000s and the Crash Bandicoot in the 90s.
Naughty Dog is presently developing its first standalone multiplayer game. They’ve disclosed a dozen vacant roles for the game on Twitter. This covers game designers, programmers, quality assurance, and other related positions.
As of now, their standalone multiplayer project seems to take the pole of their focus. They aim to set towards hiring ‘aggressively’ in several open positions.

Last of Us dev’s Naughty Dog game director calls for applicants
Naughty Dog is looking forward to hiring across multiple disciplines. Positions such as monetization/economy designer have been open since March. Given Naughty Dog’s prominence in the games business, this is most likely because of the studio’s lengthy and selective recruiting procedure rather than a shortage of candidates.
