The Last of Us has been witnessing tremendous popularity since the release of its pilot episode on January 15. Prior to its release also the series got tremendous responses. It became one of the first critically acclaimed series of 2023.
Surely the first episode broke several records of many HBO original series. And now, as they aired the second episode, it hyped up the show even more. This episode also did not break any expectations and, like its predecessor, it also etched a record into its name.

The second episode of the series which was aired the last Sunday witnessed 5.7 million viewers in the US. It was a jump of about 22% compared to the first episode. Not only this, the second episode became the largest week 2 audience growth for an HBO Original Drama series in the history of the network.
The first episode raked around 4.7 million views on the premiere day. Moreover, it currently has around 18 million views, according to HBO.

The studio has teased the third episode. We can see glimpses of Bill and Frank, who are two post-pandemic survivors living alone in their isolated towns in the teaser. None other than Nick Offerman plays Bill.
