Gustavo Santaolalla hints at Last of Us 2 PS5 Remaster

Gustavo Santaolalla is the mind behind the franchise’s iconic music. After all, the music and soundtracks are a crucial part of how people view the game. During an interview, Santaolalla spoke of his easter egg in the game. Those who already made their way through Last of Us 2 know about the cameo, an easter egg where players approach a guitarist. This is none other than Gustavo Santaolalla.

During the interview, the composer went back to this cameo. He spoke of a new feature, where players choose what song the character plays in-game. This feature will be available in the new version. Following this, Santaolalla refused to elaborate, saying he can not do so. Fans think the new version is nothing other than a remastered version of the game for the PlayStation 5.

In the interview, he said, “New editions, this one we will be able to make me play certain songs, and well nothing, I can’t tell you anything else.” New features like this one usually come to titles once they are remastered. A similar practice is followed by a lot of other developers.

Moreover, players will be able to do so in the upgraded visuals of PlayStation’s current generation console.
