The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Might Give Players a Look at King Rhoam’s Monarchy

The 2017’s much acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild started with a voice, the voice of Princess Zelda. She asks Link to open his eyes and save Hyrule. But as he exits his resting place, he meets a wise wilderness and an old man.

Later players learn that this old man is none other than King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule. He used to rule Hyrule; he guides Link in saving Princess Zelda. Not much is known of him other than this, but it appears this will change in Tears of the Kingdom.

King Rhoam was the one who worked hard on creating all those alliances that helped Link defeat Ganon years later. He was the one who started the fight against Ganon, along with his daughter, Zelda.

And years later, his spirit guides Link through his journey to once again renew those alliances and defeat Ganon. There are now speculations that the latest trailer for Tears of the Kingdom reveals some hints about the politics of Hyrule.

In the previous game, when Link roamed around asking various factions of Hyrule to help him with his quest, he found out that there were some who might think of Rhoam as their king, but they had some reservations about Zelda. While others are stuck on things that happened long ago, the biggest example is that of the Zora clan still being upset about Princess Mipha’s fate.

But all of them help Link at the end of the day, and if nothing else, they do care for Hyrule. Gamerant claims this alliance might not be enough for resting the crown on Zelda’s head when things get sorted out in the sequel. How accurate this presumption is will only be revealed once the game actually launches.

What about Zelda being the goddess Hylia?

The question that arises is, how can Zelda be the queen if she becomes princess Hylia according to one more assumption someone made a while ago?

Would it be the first game ever to have Link sit on that throne? When a game such as this launches, there are a million speculations and only one answer. And this answer only comes with the release of this game. So all fans have to do is wait for the game to launch.
