The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is only three more months away from launch. Fans of its predecessor are expecting worlds from this upcoming game. Yet those expectations seem to sprout from just two trailers.

Nintendo has yet to show anything significant when it comes to the in-game content of this upcoming Zelda title. It is their next flagship title and probably the last flagship title that would ever launch for Nintendo Switch. But it appears there are some exciting details in already-released trailers of Tears of the Kingdom.

Nintendo’s games have a straightforward premise. Sometimes a kidnapped princess needs saving, and at other times there’s a world on the brink of destruction that needs saving. Still, most Nintendo games are very successful, because of a single thing someone once said: “Devil is in the details”.

Gameplay, world building, character designs, world design, music; Nintendo never ever skims on these things. And that’s the kind of detail some fans have noticed in the trailers of Tears of the Kingdom.

Some snippets of these trailers show a bunch of walls, tablets, and statues with numerous symbols drawn on them. And now some translator has recognized those symbols to be working like hieroglyphics.

For those unaware, hieroglyphic writing was a language made of symbols, where every symbol stood for something like the sun would be represented by a circle inside a circle, and a man gesturing at his mouth represented eat. This was most commonly used in Egypt long ago. They used those on-wall carvings and such to write the words of gods. And now Nintendo is seemed to be using something similar to tell a poem about the sun and moon!

It is exciting to see Nintendo tease its fans in such a manner. It also appears that Nintendo has decided to use it as the language of the game’s Zonai tribe. Zonai hardly speak though; they either hid very well or were just gone forever. Whatever fate they might have met, it would be revealed in this upcoming sequel.

The trailers reveal players would be exploring flying cities as well as underground areas in this game. Some fans even claim to have seen the corpse of Gannon from The Breath of the Wild. So there are indeed numerous missed details in these trailers.

The game itself is just under 100 days from launch, so fans would be getting every confirmation about every character and location when it releases.
