This Japanese giant has always priced their major titles at $60. Hence, the additional $10 for the upcoming Zelda title was a huge shock for most fans. Doug Bowser explains the $7o price tag on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Fans have been wondering why Nintendo suddenly raised the price of a first-party game, especially since the platform is selling millions of units. Nintendo Switch is about to enter its seventh year, yet it hasn’t lost its relevance in the market. So, Doug Bowser revealed the $ 70 pricing is related to the game’s experience.

He told the Daily Mail, “We look at what the game has to offer. I think fans will find this is an incredibly full, deeply immersive experience. The price point reflects the type of experience that fans can expect when it comes to playing this particular game.”

Bowser went on to say that this price point would not apply to all of their titles. But he added, “It’s actually a fairly common pricing model either here or in Europe or other parts of the world, where the pricing may vary depending on the game itself.”

However, YouTubers like RGT 85, who cover news related to Nintendo, claimed the unusual Tears of the Kingdom’s pricing is because of its 32 GB cartridge. This Japanese giant never used such a big cartridge for any past title, meaning the upcoming Zelda title would have many surprises for the fans to have the best gaming experience.
