The Super Mario Bros. movie got its first trailer unveiled in front of the community on Thursday. The movie is hyped up to the roof as it deems to entertain a worldwide audience. And when one has to entertain a worldwide audience, the language barrier has to be lifted. Following this, a riveting development has surfaced on the internet.

The Super Mario Bros. movie is set to release on April 7, 2023. This movie is a joint venture of Nintendo and Illumination studios. Moreover, Chris Pratt will be voicing the leading role of Mario. Alongside him will be Jack Black, Seth Rogen, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Charlie Day. They will be playing the role of Bowser, Donkey Kong, Princess Peach, and Luigi.

Yong Yea, a voice actor, earlier tweeted, “Alright I’m watching the Mario Movie in French.” And also attached a clip of the French dubbed trailer with the tweet.

On the other hand, fans have communicated their feelings about Chris Pratt’s voice in the Mario character. They have noticed the Brooklyn accent in the voice of Mario, featured in the English trailer. And while some fans seemed to be perplexed by hearing Pratt’s Mario, others seemed to rejoice at it.

Moreover, as reported by the organization IGN, the Mario movie producer and Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri, had propagated his views on this earlier. He said, “When people hear Chris Pratt’s performance, the criticism will evaporate, maybe not entirely – people love to voice opinions, as they should.”

 

However, the fans seemed to be surprised by seeing the French dubbed Mario. As they feel that it sounds more like Mario than the English version. And has thus attracted fans to the French dubbed trailer. And some might already be preparing to learn French.
