While CoD: Modern Warfare 3 beta testing is on, Warzone has received a new update, but fans aren’t too impressed. Call of Duty: Warzone seems to have brought back a scary feature to the game ahead of its Halloween event planned for this month.
The popular FPS franchise is never short of new materials for its long list of titles. Warzone is a free-to-play multiplayer CoD title that has fans hooked. With every new update, fans look forward to what new offerings the game has up its sleeve, but this latest one isn’t hitting the right spots with the community.

Warzone player shares haunting figure from the Ghost Train event
CoD: Warzone has a dedicated fanbase that loves to spend countless hours trying to get the most kills and get their names on top of the scoreboard. Competitive fans from around the world hone their skills to establish their reputation as formidable Warzone players. To keep the players engaged, the devs regularly bring new updates that include new features, cosmetics, and more. The latest addition to the game is a sort of ghost that catches you off guard and is aimed at offering jump scares while players are busy in a Warzone round.

A video clip has gone viral on X, formerly Twitter, where a player shows how a ghost comes hunting during the Ghost Train event. Just as the event is completed, a hooded figure appears out of nowhere and can be heard screeching into your ears. While at first, the figure looks scary, you get used to it quite fast, and it loses its charm.
The screech is, in all honesty, more scary than the figure itself, and fans are in agreement that CoD might have messed things up with this one.
Fans slam the jump scare as a poor new add-on
After the clip was shared, fans came together to express how poorly designed it looked. This fan thinks it’s less of a jump scare and more like a hearing hazard.
Most annoying thing during the event..its not even scary it just burst your eardrums through ya headphones

Another fan also agrees that this doesn’t look scary at all. Instead, it seems rather comical, to be honest.

Joseph believes the devs are losing their touch and are unable to fathom the community’s needs right now.
They can’t even get jump scares right 🤦🏻♂️

This fan, however, admits to being caught unaware the first time, which resulted in a mild stroke.
Scared the shit outta me the first time
