Tyler1 hits back at casters for being biased towards xQc

It started with PogChamps 5 tournament. The chess event saw major names participate, such as streamers, speedrunners, and more. Part of this list was xQc. When the streamer won a match, he received a lot of praise from casters, as well as from Chess Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky. Naroditsky went on to say, “We appreciate your confidence and your honesty. You have talked the talk, but you have walked the walk.”

Following this, Tyler1 was two hours into a live stream when he began watching the tournament. Once he came upon the clip of casters and a Grandmaster showering xQc with praise, Tyler1 lost it. He pointed out that while casters kept “flaming” him, they behaved differently with xQc. With the latter, all they could do was paint him a great light, he believes.

In this, Tyler1 believes there is a bias among casters simply because it was xQc playing. He said, “xQc joins, they’re like, ‘What an impeccable, impressive performance. You played such pure, beautiful chess.’ Like, what the f*ck? Bro, they love to hate me, bro!”

To corroborate his claims, Tyler1 showed images of his group standings. xQc was also a part of the same group. While Tyler1 was at the top of the board with five points, xQc was in third place with three points. Tyler1 made claims that casters hated him, saying, “They love to hate me! Look at me! At the top! The top! That’s crazy. That is crazy, by the way! Whatever, bro. It is what it is. They love to hate,” on stream.

To add to the entire ordeal, xQc’s banter during an interview saw him call Tyler1 “Tyler two foot” and a “sub 100 rated player’ referring to his chess ELO rating. Needless to say, Tyler1 fumed at the casters about their bias.
