Starfield is a game in which players get to explore a vast universe. In this massive universe, there are thousands of planets that players can land on and explore. Many planets in the game are rich in resources, making some of them hubs for players. These hubs are where players can take on missions and restock utilities.

With each hub being unique, players can find different loot in each hub, but there’s one particular hub that stands out. While playing the game, a player stumbled upon a bug in one of these cities, leading to a discovery that broke the internet.

Starfield is a space exploration game, and one of the most important things when it comes to exploring escapades is supplies. One player named Jamie Moran posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) that shows how one bug can be exploited for free items in the game.

While there are many money-making methods in the game, several players are resorting to this bug exploitation.

In the video, the player showed their character at the Shepherd’s storefront on the planet Akila. The player then walks to a small puddle in front of him and approaches it. Upon looking around, the player found a prompt to pick up items from Emerson Shepherd supplies. Once the inventory menu appears, players can simply crouch right there in the middle of the street and take every item in Shepherd’s inventory for free.

The video shows how players can take all the items found in the puzzle. Once the player starts taking items, a prompt to take all of them pops up. The player then goes on to drain the puddle from items. In the post, the player also mentioned the cooldown time for the bug is around 24 hours. He suggests that players should collect the items, sell them for money, and repeat the process after 24 hours.

This bug exploit was both liked and disliked by the community as it made the game too easy to play. The tweet received over 663k views and over 10.8k likes in under 12 hours since its posting.

Why is the puddle a storage spot?

The placement of storage vault for the store was placed in an invisible container below the road in the city of Akila. This was done so that when players try to pickpocket the storekeeper, they don’t get the loot from the items list for the shop. However, this plan backfired as now players have access to all the inventory the shop has to offer.

Given that this is an unintended glitch, it’s likely to be patched by Bethesda in future updates. Therefore, players interested in making a quick fortune should act promptly. Do you think it’s fair to exploit such bugs in the game for progress? Let us know below in the comments!
