In order to move your character to a certain part of the screen, you have to click on that part. Although if you connect a controller to your PC or use a Steam Deck, you can get different UI and controls. The camera angle also shifts to an action RPG perspective from the original one. However, keyboard and mouse users don’t have this luxury.

You don’t have to worry anymore because modders Ch4nKyy and Erhsin have your back. These two modders, with collaborative effort, have added two mods to the games that will give you a classic MMO feel in the Dungeons and Dragons world of BG3. These two mods are the WASD movement mod and the Native Camera Tweak mod.

In a YouTube video from dimetequiero, we can see how easily you can change between the conventional BG3 POV and the PC MMO perspective. With this mod, you can use your WASD keys for movements and your mouse for aiming and actions in BG3.

Seeing this mod, fans have become absolutely crazy, as they dearly wanted this feature in the game by default. Now, it’s time to see if Larian Studios will ever pay heed to the fans’ concerns and add a classic MMO-like camera perspective by default.
