The gaming scene is also no exception to this. Games like Call of Duty, and Assassin’s Creed with each new generation, are challenging the line between reality and virtual in terms of graphics quality. And this time, an indie developer may have been successful in crossing the boundary.

The indie scene is filled with amazing creators who are genuinely passionate about their craft and really do their best to push the norms of the industry. Genre-defining indie hits like Undertale, No Man’s Sky, and Hollow Knight have shown how much potential these independent developers have. This time an indie developer named @esankiy has teased a game that he is working on, which can rival even the big dogs like Call of Duty.

What is this Indie game that can rival Call of Duty?
On October 12, Twitter user @esankiy posted on their personal Twitter a video of a game they are currently working on. The game is an FPS shooter, very much like the classic Call of Duty games. The footage features them playing as a soldier with a pistol, roaming around what seems to be an abandoned school. There were enemies all around the palace shooting at them.

The most interesting part about this footage was that at first glance, it was almost impossible to believe that this was a video game. The graphics and physics were so realistic that it was almost uncanny.

According to @esankiy, it is “a body cam style game”. This means the game will feature the perspective of a soldier with a body cam attached to his gear. That is why the visuals are rendered so realistically, to give the feel of watching the footage of a soldier in a gunfight.

Even the physics of the game is so realistic that it can be a little disturbing to people. Some fans were showing their concern that a game this realistic may cross the line between reality and gaming. The way enemies limp after they die is almost lifelike and very uncanny.
Fans in awe after watching the realistic clip of the game
Fans were very excited about the game. They praised the creator for such an amazing job. Some of them couldn’t even believe that this was actually a game. They had to make some effort to differentiate this game from reality.

There were also some fans who were very concerned. According to them, this game is just too real. So real that it is not even a game but a “murder simulator”. The uncanniness is a little “unnerving”.

Spectacular job. I didn't read the description at first so until the ragdoll physics kicked in on the enemy I thought this was video footage.
