“This Is Going to Be Drama”- xQc Reveals a Lot of “Plus Ones” to Twitch Disappeared After Signing With Kick

Streamer xQc is currently going through a rough patch with Twitch. It is not many days since fans went nuts hearing this famous Twitch star signing a $100 million deal with Kick. But, the current situation is not really bringing any happy news for him.

As revealed in his latest video, things between him and Twitch might not be perfect at this moment. And why wouldn’t that be? Since Kick appeared in the market, not only did he take over Twitch’s exclusive stars but signed deals with streamers banned from the former platform. But is Twitch being hostile with xQc for Kick?

xQc shares about receiving the cold shoulder from Twitch

Twitch star xQc has been in the headlines since he joined Twitch’s rivalry platform Kick. Although he joined Kick he wasn’t leaving Twitch anytime soon which is actually his platform to success. And fans were quite satisfied with this Overwatch legend dividing his streaming time for both platforms. His presence in the two most popular streaming platforms assured fans that Twitch was not too competitive with Kick. However, xQc’s latest stream might reveal something completely different than this.

Discussing with colleague Destiny, xQc dropped some allegations against Dan Clancy, the CEO of Twitch- “This Is Going to Be Drama…Um, even though he is the CEO and there are a lot of people under him, a lot of team that work or whatever. Ever since the Kick stuff, I was given the cold shoulder a little bit.”

Now it was probably coming for this Overwatch legend and streamer. He was truly a Twitch sensation but his latest deal with Kick no longer makes him a Twitch exclusive. And that is why probably he is not given all the exclusive benefits of the company. xQc mentioned the recent Twitchcon in Las Vegas- “A lot of plus ones disappeared. Like, plus ones to parties, plus ones to Twitch as a whole, flights. And then I got the big contract, and now that I am not on it anymore.”

xQc’s $100 million deal with Kick

Canadian streamer xQc aka Felix Lengyel’s Kick deal was one of the headliners of controversy in June. Ryan Morrison, xQc’s agent revealed that the initial deal is $70 million for two years, which will add more incentives to become $100 million.

Not just that he also mentioned how this famous streamer’s Kick deal is one of the most expensive entertainment deals. While it might be just another proof of xQc’s talent, many speculations brew hinting at Twitch’s hostile relationship with its top-class streamers. While joining Kick, xQc never mentioned about leaving Twitch. However, he was interested in exploring more freedom in content creation with Kick.
