In the latest announcement, Nintendo has announced that the classic Game Boy Advance is coming to the Switch Online in late September. Kirby and the Amazing Mirror was a fan-favorite game, originally released in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance. And now, players can once again re-live the experience on the widely popular Nintendo Switch.

While the Japanese giant has a long list of exclusive titles for its Switch console, fans still request older games to be ported to the Switch. And now, it looks like Nintendo indeed wasn’t completely oblivious to the fans’ demands. Since the big reveal about Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, fans have evidently been losing their minds over the news.

Switch Online to receive Kirby and the Amazing Mirror

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can soon enjoy the addition of Kirby & the Amazing Mirror. The game is renowned for its unique Metroidvania-style gameplay and introduces cooperative multiplayer gameplay, a first for the Kirby series. In The Amazing Mirror, Kirby is divided into four and must confront the menacing Dark Meta Knight within the Mirror World. The Switch Online version will provide support for both local and online four-player co-op, enhancing the multiplayer experience.

Thus, the Game Boy Advance library on Nintendo Switch Online continues to expand, with Kirby & the Amazing Mirror being the twelfth title in its library.

Additionally, Nintendo has teased the forthcoming availability of Golden Sun and F-Zero Maximum Velocity, promising even more excitement for subscribers. Starting September 29, fans of the Kirby franchise can relive the magic as Kirby & the Amazing Mirror joins the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription, offering a delightful trip down memory lane.

Understandably, long-time fans of the series and Nintendo are losing it after the big reveal. While any new Switch game is always big news, the coming of an older classic is just better. The Game Boy remains a cult-favorite console and being able to play its titles is something we all look forward to eagerly.

Like many of us, this fan is stunned by the fact that Kirby and the Amazing Mirror will be arriving on the Switch Online.

While Connor is obviously stoked about the news, he does believe that Nintendo should just go for a remaster of this game by this point. Honestly, we kind of agree!
