Sony is really trying to attract its userbase with some of the most ambitious offerings in order to compete with its rivals. Well, among its plans to take on the Xbox Game Pass, is the upcoming refreshed version of PlayStation Plus. It’s set to come out next month with newly implemented tiers providing different perks.

Although the subscription service is nearly a month away, Sony just revealed its line-up for PlayStation Plus. While mentioning the latest titles that will arrive with its release, it also unveiled the list of old, classic PS games that players will be able to enjoy.

However, it looks like the reveal hasn’t generated an expected response from the fans themselves.

To name a few, among various classic titles, there is Ape Escape, Hot Shots Golf, I.Q. Intelligent Cube, and Super Stardust Portable. These are all the first-party offering from the PS Studios for the PlayStation Plus.

When it comes to third-party games, then subscribers will be able to have Mr. Driller, Tekken 2, Worms World Party, and Worms Armageddon.

One thing to note is that all the above-mentioned classics are from the era of original PlayStation and the PSP. Moreover, the availability of classic catalog only applies to those who will opt for the Premium or Deluxe tiers. So that’s also one crucial point to keep in mind.

Similarly there are other older titles as well that will be up for those who like to go retro. You can check the full list on the main website itself.

Meanwhile, hardcore PlayStation fans didn’t seem very happy upon knowing about the classic games that will arrive with the PS Plus. In fact, some of them even mocked Sony for not including major blockbusters that could’ve attracted more users to subscribe to the upcoming service.

“I don’t know what I was expecting tbh but this is underwhelming….”, wrote one frustrated fan.
