Millions of F.R.I.E.N.D.S fans across the world are heartbroken by the sudden demise of Matthew Perry. The 54-year-old actor was renowned for his iconic role as Chandler Bing in the famous sitcom. Perry was loved not just as an actor, but for his off-screen persona as well. He was largely seen as humble and modest, who kept his feet on the ground. While his fans are left saddened by his death, the gaming community will forever remember him, not only as Chandler Bing but also as a hardcore gamer who once injured his hand because he played too much.

Matthew Perry loved gaming on the Xbox

Many people might not know that Matthew Perry was an avid gamer. So much so that at one point he had to visit a “hand doctor” because of the amount of time he spent playing Fallout 3. While there were many criticisms against the title, Perry remained a loyal fan of Bethesda’s award-winning FPS. The Fallout titles are a highly popular series from Bethesda and Perry couldn’t get enough of it.

While appearing on an episode of the Ellen DeGeneres show back in 2009, Perry awed fans with his proclamation. He said the post-apocalyptic set-up of Fallout 3 made him a fan instantly and he loved “running around and killing things.”

In the episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Matthew Perry explained his love for Fallout 3 before removing a copy of the game from a bag. He said, “I played a video game so often that I injured my hand so severely that I had to go to a hand doctor and get injections in my hand because I loved this video game so much.” He then went on to joke, saying, “I’m not affiliated with this game at all, I just love it and so but I signed it so it looks like I created the game.”
