The game offers a great many things to do, such as building your own spaceships, raiding ships, exploring over 1000 planets and so much more. And all things considered, players are loving the game. However, there are few drawbacks, at least according to one user. While this user loves the game, there’s one aspect they’re not happy about. And no, it’s not bugs or glitches.

Starfield player disappointed over limited outpost build options

Bethesda’s first new IP in over two decades has a long list of things to do and players are exploring everything they can. Even before release, Starfield was topping charts, and the community felt it was pretty justified, given the scope of the game. Many fans had been planning their spaceship designs and outposts on distant planets for months before the game’s release. However, this Redditor on r/Starfield thinks the outpost design is “the most disappointing part” of Starfield.

According to the user, the outpost system is incredibly basic in Starfield. The player went into the game expecting something like Fallout 4 outposts, only to realize Starfield has very limited things to offer in this aspect.

Only three structural options make things all the more disappointing. Along with that, the user also realized that players can’t even make a partition in their outpost if they want to have a washroom there.

The user thinks forcing players to build airlocks to their outposts on a planet with a breathable environment is unnecessary. Moreover, it also doesn’t make sense that players can only let three people stay at every outpost. Linking outposts for resources is also something the user finds to be an irrational logic in Starfield. If that wasn’t enough, the game also doesn’t let players build their outpost if they’re not on a flat surface.

The player is sure that Bethesda didn’t follow up on their words of making Starfield their most in-depth outpost-building system to date.
