It seems like there’s nothing that can stop the mighty force called Tom Holland. First, he witnessed unprecedented success as the superhero Spider-Man. And now, he’s turned into a huge gaming movie icon with the latest blockbuster Uncharted.
In case anyone missed it, Uncharted just became the fourth biggest video game film of all time. And it’s been possible thanks to the charismatic performance of Tom Holland as the beloved Nathan Drake. Sony and PlayStation must be feeling really proud of him right now.

Although the movie didn’t get a great reception from critics, it’s been a monster at the box office. Industry insider Benji, on Twitter, recently revealed that Uncharted is now the fourth highest-grossing video game movie of all time. It has earned a total of $357.5 million globally.

Benji also mentioned that the film is on track to eventually make three times its overall budget, which is $120 million.
At the moment, these are the top four live action big screen adaptations based on hit video games, as per the insider:
- Warcraft – $439 million
- Detective Pikachu – $433.4 million
- Rampage – $428 million
- Uncharted – $357.5 million
Following Benji-Sales’ tweet, fans also came up with their amazing reactions to the movie. Most of them praised it a lot while saying that Tom Holland is the key to Sony’s success. Others hoped for a better and more exciting future for the upcoming projects under PlayStation Productions.
