The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is finally available for the Playstation 4 and Xbox Series consoles. Its new generation version is gathering praise from all directions. Some people who never played a single game in The Witcher series are trying their hands at it.

It could be overwhelming for newcomers to get into a game that has so many complex things, to begin with. Its alchemy, combat, spells and every other thing can end up draining the gamers’ energy.

Combat Skills to consider in The Witcher 3

Strength Training: This skill improves Geralt’s heavy attack damage by 10% and it can be upgraded up to 3 times.

Muscle Memory: Select this skill to increase your light attack damage by 10%. This skill comes in handy when you have to dodge incoming attacks very frequently.

Arrow Deflection: This is one of the coolest-looking skills in The Witcher 3, as it allows the player to simply deflect the incoming arrows with a sword by holding the button to block.

Whirl: Are you tired of getting surrounded by those cowardly bandits? Whirl would help with some crowd management. Use this skill to instantly decimate all the enemies that surround you.

Sign Skills in The Witcher 3

Melt Armor: This is an Igni skill, a fire skill that basically decreases the enemy’s Armor permanently upon first use.

Exploding Shield: Explosive shield is an upgrade for the protective shield sign. If an enemy manages to attack during a fight, this shield would explode and do some damage to them.

Alchemy Skills

Heightened Tolerance: Equipping this skill gives the character a better tolerance against the side effects induced by potions that the character drinks. The potions when used excessively can end up poisoning Geralt, and this enabling skill helps to reduce that side effect.

Poisoned Blades: Equipping this skill gives the character’s blades a chance to poison the enemies. The chance of poisoning increases with its varied levels of upgradation.

General Skills

Sun and Stars: This is considered one of the most effective and useful passive skills in the General Skill tree. During the daytime, Geralt’s health regenerates, while at night his stamina regenerates a little faster than usual.

Gourmet: Aside from potions, Geralt can also consume food to regenerate his health. Food items have different time periods for which they would continuously regenerate health. Gourmet increases that time to 20 minutes.
