The Legend of Zelda is a very successful long-running series by Nintendo. The first game in this series gets the credit for inventing the type of game world that gives its players the freedom to go almost anywhere and do almost anything.
These games eventually started growing larger and larger and giving players more and more freedom. This freedom had now expanded to allow players to do just about anything in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
While Zelda games have reached a point where they seem just a few points short of perfect, there are still a bunch of classic games that fans want to get that Link’s Awakening treatment.

That means getting re-released in a modern avatar. So here we list the Top 5 Legend of Zelda games that we would love to see on Nintendo Switch or any console that comes after!
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD
This game was released on Gamecube in 2002. Pre-launch, many fans disregarded this game as something made for children. That reaction came in response to how this game looked. Its cel-shaded visuals turned fans off. They wanted a more realistic game.
But once it launched, people were seen in the wild calling this game their favorite Zelda game. And to this day, it is as beautiful as it was when it first launched. It got a remastered port on Wii U, but due to that console’s failure, it got lost and was not considered very successful.
But now that Nintendo Switch has proven its potential, fans have been asking Nintendo to bring that Wii U version for it. Let’s see if it releases or not. We sure hope it does as it would be a pleasure playing this game on the go!
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
Majora’s Mask might be the darkest game in the series yet. It was released for N64 in the year 2000 and in 2003 for Nintendo Gamecube. Fans of the series loved it for its core gameplay loop, which was inspired by movies like Groundhog Day.
Players complete various missions in order to prevent the moon from crashing into the earth, and they fail and try again. In the process, they earn various new abilities and tools to help them on the way.

The E3 reveal of this game was something that is hard to forget. So the game was released and became the best-selling game in the series, till Breath of the Wild dethroned it as the best-selling Zelda game.
This game deserves a re-release on the switch. It can be a Remaster or a Remake, but we need Wolf Link on this hybrid console!
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
The third game in the series was played with that overhead perspective and introduced a cinematic flair to this series. As far as 2D or isometric Zelda games go, this game is the best-looking game out there.
It has been re-released on every console ever, but we have yet to see a proper port for modern consoles. It’s unfair that we have all this technology and Nintendo still makes us play this older version of the game. There’s potential in a Remake of this game, and they better bring it back soon!

This game is rarely found on the best of Zelda games list. It’s a mystery why this is the case. But ever since Nintendo released the ever-popular and beautiful remake of Link’s Awakening, we cannot help but wish Nintendo would give Minish Cap a similar treatment.
It would look excellent on that OLED display of Nintendo Switch and would be a dream to play. Let’s hope someday Nintendo looks back at this game and shares our opinion and decides to do what it should have long ago!
