Assassin’s Creed franchise recently celebrated its 15th anniversary. So, they hosted a showcase event to reveal future projects, including the next installment of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Fans are already looking forward to putting on their hoods and hidden blades as Basim and getting into action.

However, fans should remember that it’s not always like you will go and execute a mission in one go like a master assassin. Since the first game, the developers have had quests that will require multiple retires and sometimes can lead players to rage quit the game. For now, we don’t know about AC: Mirage’s missions. So let’s look at some of the most challenging missions from the AC games in the last 15 years.

Assassin’s Creed Unity: The Tournament

It’s been eight years since the release of Assassin’s Creed Unity. It was the first game in the franchise to focus a lot on the multiplayer mode. There were many co-op missions and of which was The Tournament. In this mission, a player would require a team of four assassins to complete various quests and finally kill General Marcourt, and his Templar allies. Further, there would be a timer for some challenges.

It is one of the easiest missions in the game until you prefer to go lone wolf. Doing this mission in a single-player mode would make you regret every action in life. It can easily take a couple of hours to figure out this mission. But the question is would you have the patience for so long? Because most players would rage quit this mission after a few trials.

However, the difficulty of finding players in co-op mode wasn’t the only difficulty that made the gamers rage quit this game sometimes. After the release, this game was full of bugs and glitches that made it difficult for players to enjoy it properly. It took some time for the game to work smoothly.

Assassin’s Creed Rouge: Storm Fortress

This 2014 Assassin’s Creed was unlike any past installment as one can experience the AC world from the eyes of a Templar instead of an Assassin. Aside from the plot, the game had similar mechanics to its predecessor Black Flag. It also had naval combat and also the quest to take down legendary ships. This game’s most challenging and most regrettable quest is taking down a legendary ship.

Players can set sail to hunt down legendary ships. But the hardest one to take down was the gigantic Storm Fortress. It’s a challenge for even a fully upgraded Morrigan. This legendary ship has a huge health bar; ramming by it a few times can be an easy death. But after somehow managing to lower the ship’s health, it summons two Man-O-War warships to make things even more challenging.

Assassin’s Creed VI Black Flag: The Seige of Charles-Towne

Assassin’s Creed VI Black Flag is among the fan favorites. The game was unique to the past titles because the players took on the role of Edward Kenway, who was not only an assassin but also a notorious pirate. A considerable part of the game lets players explore the seas and fight other ships. But it also had one of the most challenging tailing missions in the series.

One of the most irritating missions in the older Assassin’s Creed game was the tailing missions. It was hard to do tailing missions without noticing and retrying several times. However, the developers came up with a tailing mission, where they had to follow a rowboat with a pirate ship. Players must clear some river blocks and skin a crocodile if that’s not enough.

Assassin’s Creed III: Battle of Chesapeake

We just talked about Black Flag, and now the next entry on this list is his predecessor Assassin’s Creed III. The game revolves around Connor Kenway, an assassin and also the grandson of Black Flag’s protagonist, Edward Kenway. This 2012 game, was also very different as it introduced many new mechanics, visuals, and gameplay.

Assassin’s Creed III was the first game in the series to have naval combat, although it was only one naval battle. However, despite being the first naval battle in the series, it isn’t easy. Instead, it is one of the most challenging missions in this 2012 game because of unpolished naval combat mechanics. However, the requirement for 100 percent synchronization makes this mission even harder.

Assassin’s Creed II: Port Authority

The more we go back in time, the Assassin’s Creed games had more challenging missions. This 2009 game has a massive fandom as it’s the first game in the trilogy of fan-favorite assassin Ezio Auditore. This game introduced many new features to the game than the first AC game. The missions had more variety than the first game, which had many repetitive quests.

Fans loved Assassin’s Creed II for the storyline and the fantastic missions. However, the Port Authority mission got on the nerves of many players. To get 100 percent sync in this mission, players have to kill the quest without getting detected. Further, like the later AC games, you can’t revisit this sequence to get a 100 percent sync later. It would take lots of hours and multiple trials to get a 100 percent sync.
