With this said, let’s now jump into the top 5 (not in any specific order) title releases to look out for in 2022.

God Of War Ragnarok

The sequel of the 2018 title by Santa Monica Studios is set to be the biggest game of the year. The high expectations from the fans are justified given the grand success of its predecessor developed by the same studio.

The critically acclaimed franchise returns to the battlegrounds with Kratos and his son as the centerpieces. The new game also ventures into Norse mythology with legends such as Thor and Odin, and fans cannot wait any longer.

The game is set to release next year on the PlayStation 4 & 5. However, the developers have not revealed a release date/window.

Horizon Forbidden West

Guerilla Games are set to compete with the strongest titles next year with Horizon Forbidden West launching in the flooded release window of February, on February 18, 2022, on the PS4/PS5.

Players return to the post-apocalyptic open-world environment where, as per the latest trailer, machines have taken over. With Aloy, the protagonist, set to return with new mechanics, players cannot afford to miss this one.

Forspoken

Square Enix’s new project, Forspoken, takes players to a land unknown, Athia. The world seems interesting, and the stunning story of the game is attracting a lot of attention from the fans, and many are curious to see what the game will truly offer.

The game launches on May 24, 2022, on PC and PS5. And is up for pre-order on the official website.

Gran Turismo 7

Polyphony Digital’s eighth mainline installment, Gran Turismo 7, is set to be the first multi-console game in the series, releasing on both the PS4 and PS5. It launches on March 4, 2022.

The anticipated racing game returns with the fan-favorite Simulation Mode alongside the traditional campaign mode. It will also feature the weather effects seen in previous titles and hopes to persuade fans that the franchise has a lot more to offer.
