Classic console customizer calls out the Retro Gamers

What if I tell you that someone has combined the classic Nintendo Entertainment System with the Ecto-Containment Unit from the original 1984 Ghostbusters? It would baffle you, right? Well, it’s true. Today, we learn about a Retro console designer, Retro Phoenix, who made this happen. The Retro team coined the name Nintendo Containment Unit for their latest release and painted it red. Other than that, the designer has added a top bay door at a place where one would place the Ghost Trap, ribbon cable, split-loom tubing, and hazard labels.

The use of the red and green light in pulling off the Ghost Trap reminds us of what Ray Stantz, a fictional character from the Ghostbusters, once said“Light is green, trap is clean.”

Apart from the console, the Retro Phoenix has attached a controller dripping with slime to it. It is not a real slime but a dramatic effect given to focus on the ‘Simmer.’ Those who wish to buy this classic remake can head over to Retro Phoenix’s Facebook page. The entire unit costs over $250 and is available on request.

Retro Phoenix pulls off another marvel!

Apart from making this classic custom, the team has also made a DMG Gameboy. This Nintendo classic is inspired by a Macintosh design helping users get a full-on retro experience. The device comes with a back-lit LCD screen displaying 32 color palettes.
