In fact, this entire year is going to end up on a negative note for all the gamers hoping to get a new product. This is what Xbox’s top official and chief financial officer recently revealed while expecting the rest of the state of 2022.

Xbox lovers to get disappointed in 2022 due to supply chain issues
The problem of chip shortage has been present for the last two years across the gaming industry. Manufacturers have faced the utmost challenges in delivering proper supplies, due to the lack of semiconductors. The ongoing pandemic has already made the entire scenario even worse.

As a result of the supply chain issues, gaming fans are not able to find any latest generation consoles like Xbox or PlayStation. Yes, they do appear sometimes when the stocks are filled, but the availability is not on a larger scale.

Recently, Xbox’s chief financial officer, Tim Stuart, claimed that the problem of the supply chain will continue throughout 2022.

As reported by VGC, Stuart revealed his expectation for the current year, while speaking during an investor call. He said that “the supply chain environment could remain rocky through 2022 and the holiday season.”

Elaborating on the reasons for why he believes so, the Xbox CFO told that there are various issues like part shortages along with the “elevated logistics pricing pressuring margins.”

Moreover, Stuart also said that the overall gaming revenue may come down because of reduced console sales.
Well, this simply means that potential buyers of the latest generation of devices won’t be able to buy them as there will be very few stocks available.
