Kai Cenat went from having one of the most subscribed Twitch channels to not having a channel at all. He had won the Streamer of the Year award in 2023, and the ban from Twitch came as a surprise to many fans. What makes it even worse is the timing of it, as Cenat was all set to feature Nicki Minaj on his stream.

Revenue split allegations on Twitch

Twitch has now become notorious for banning streamers without prior warning or notice. Just a month after breaking the subscription record, Kai Cenat got an unexpected ban from Twitch. This ban has given many the opportunity to take a dig at Twitch.

A recent Tweet from Daily Loud allegedly showed how much Twitch earned from its top-subscribed streamer. The Tweet stated that Twitch made around $10-15 million in the month of February when Kai Cenat streamed as compared to the streamer getting only $2 million. This fact, if true, points out that Twitch is not honoring their 50-50 split too.

While some are stating a recent bike crash visible in Cenat’s stream is the reason for the ban, many fans have speculated the ban is due to the streamer’s constant link to Kick, Twitch’s biggest rival right now.

Trainwreckstv calls out Twitch’s top streamers

This Tweet has drawn the attention of many, including Kick-vocalist Trainwreckstv. He has taken a jab at Twitch and the top streamers who are in partnership with Twitch. He said the few top streamers are the only ones receiving an actual 50-50 ad split from Twitch. These are some serious allegations against the top streamers. He also said they don’t take a stand for small streamers due to this reason only.

While Trainwreckstv has accused Twitch of an unfair 50-50 split, many streamers are drawn towards Kick for their 95-5 split. Maybe this was Trainwreckstv’s way of persuading Cenat to join Kick. Adin Ross, a controversial streamer and close friend of Cenat, has also found a home in Kick.

Twitch also banned Ross from streaming, making the streamer move to Kick. Fans can only speculate whether Cenat will also follow in the footsteps of Ross and leave the Amazon-backed company.
