DEADROP is an extraction shooter. It plays similar to Escape From Tarkov, another survival shooter. With DrLupo being an Escape From Tarkov veteran, who better to give an opinion on the current state of the game? While Lupo’s review was glowing, there was one feature that sticks out for him.

This is the vertical sound feature. Because DEADROP takes place on a vertical map, in addition to sounds from left, right, front, and back, sounds also come from above and below. As a result, it becomes tougher to understand where the sound came from, especially because most games do not make use of this feature.

It looks like even DrLupo had a tough time coming to terms with the feature. While he mentioned it will just take time to get used to it, it is still difficult to understand how vertical sound reflects a player’s position in the game. During his stream, Lupo said, “Vertical audio? Trash. No offense, I think we’re starting to get used to it. Maybe it just takes time, maybe I just have to I have to settle in with it and like just get, you know get more reps in. I’ll get used to it but right now feels hard to discern sometimes where people are.

Despite his problem with vertical audio, DrLupo seems to be enjoying the game. He sang praises of the map with apartments at the bottom, going as far as asking the creator to be paid more! The new adrenaline feature saw a lot of appreciation from Lupo. He feels it opens up gameplay by allowing players to push people. Moreover, despite small bugs with movement, DrLupo liked the pace of movement in the game.

As DrLupo makes his way through the game, his stash already looks stacked up. As an Escape From Tarkov veteran, his experience with survival and extraction shooters is coming in handy. DrDisrespect patiently waited for Lupo’s opinions, carefully taking them into consideration. It looks like DEADROP Snapshot VI has great things in store for players!
