Eleven years ago, the online community got to witness the introduction of a brand new live-streaming platform called Twitch. This Amazon-owned platform became an ideal destination for many upcoming and already-established streamers and content creators. A new avenue of opportunities was opened up for aspiring individuals in the streaming circle.

But this surely is a competitive market. Especially for small streamers who have a very restricted number of viewers. And the payout from Twitch is rather low for these people. Moreover, the platform prefers to partner up with established content creators than upcoming streamers. All these hinder the economic gain for streamers who do not yet have a high viewership stature.

To alleviate these issues, Traickwreckstv, a popular Twitch streamer, has come up with a solution called Kick.com

Twitch Ignores Small, and Mid-Sized Creators…Every creator, no matter your size, whether you have 1 viewer or 100,000, will get paid for the hours they stream,” stated Trainwreckstv about his new streaming venture.

This surely will be an interesting possibility for small-time streamers to explore and broaden their economic benefit from streaming. The ‘Creator Program’ that they are offering is aimed at building careers for streamers. Additionally, people will also get paid through adverts when they are available. They are promising that the ads will give the streamer 95% of the subscriber revenue.

Ways of revenue through Kick.com

These are the various ways revenue is generated and regulated for the streamers.

  • The time/number of hours they stream
  • A flat rate based on Kick’s advertising CPM.
  • The average number of views of the stream
  • Viewers’ demographic and level of engagement.

The streamers are given two options to withdraw the money they gain from kick.com. One is through a fixed date every month through Stripe. The other is daily withdrawals in the form of Bitcoin and Ethereum.
