Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys and Rachell ‘Valkyrae‘ Hofstetter are two of the most prominent names in the streaming community. The former streams on Twitch and has over 9.3 million followers. Meanwhile, Valkyrae used to stream on Twitch too but later transitioned to YouTube, where she currently has 3.82 million subscribers. While their profession may place them as competitors, they are the closest of friends when it comes to reality.

Pokimane recently shared that her recent diversion in content has caused her not to spend more time with her streamer friends. One of those streamer friends of hers is none other than the ‘YouTube Queen’ Valkyrae. Those who have followed them for a long time may recall that these two were roommates.

If someone needs evidence to prove that these two female streamers are best friends, then the internet is full of them. There are hundreds of videos where these two demonstrated their love and care for each other. Like the one instance where Pokimane saved Valkyrae from a stranger that Poki recently shared.

Pokimane protected her friend Valkyrae from a stranger

Anys recently shared a clip from an old vlog on her second YouTube channel, Pokimane Too. In the video, the Twitch Queen was walking down a street at night with Valkyrae and Michael Reeves. However, they come across two strangers on the road, just after Reeves was seen saying, “It’s your best friend in the world” to the fellow streamers.

One of the strangers looked at Valkyrae and said, “Hey, what’s up shorty?” The YouTube Queen didn’t reply to the stranger and kept walking. However, Poki jumped in to help her friend out of that situation.

The Morocco-Canadian informed the stranger, “She has a boyfriend, sorry.” Although after taking a few steps, Rae couldn’t hold it anymore and said, “You are shorty.” Hearing Rachell counter the comment made on her by repeating the same, Poki and Michael burst into laughter.

Pokimane shared in one of her livestreams that she has forgotten how long she’s been friends with Valkyrae. The Twitch streamer said, “I’ve known Rae for so long like I can’t even f**king remember. It was that long ago like I swear to God, I have a memory of Rae like playing, like streaming on her Gamecube or something in like curly hair.”
