Grace Van Dien did not want fame

In an interview with 100 Thieves content creator BrookeAB, BlueFille shared her experience in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. She joined the cast rather late, but still felt welcomed there. Talking about how Strangers Things cast was different from other shows, she told BrookeAB that the cast was more like a family than a business.

BrookeAB also asked BlueFille about the exponential popularity she got, with her going viral over TikTok. “I didn’t really expect or want that,” Van Dien said talking about the success. She added she loves working as an actor, but the career she wants may not be appealing to many. Van Dien wanted her acting career to not get immense popularity, so much so that she could not even go to the grocery store.

She wanted to savor the little pleasures in her life. BlueFille stated that she did not want a position that needed her to employ someone to undertake chores that required her to go out in public. She claims that several well-known stars have someone for this precise duty. However, she said that times are changing and actors can do this as well.

A role that changes it all for her

She further said that working on Stranger Things was a dream come true. The actress was already a fan of the show and thought it was wonderful that she got the part.

Furthermore, the job she was given suited nicely with her professional goals. She reasoned to herself that the part was little and would have no impact. “It’ll just be like in and out,” she imagined herself in the part.
