Twitch streamer xQc has made his entry into the ongoing live streaming wars. He has opted to join forces with the rival platform Kick in a non-exclusive deal. This means xQc will be streaming on both sites. However, to get him to do this, Kick had to pay a hefty amount of money. The platform had to pay a total of $100 million to the streamer to join its platform.

Well, it is naturally assumed the platform won’t be giving him the lump sum in one go. Now the streamer himself has come forward to talk about the details of the stream.

xQc shared whether he got equity from Kick or not

The live-streaming platform Kick has shown tremendous growth in a short amount of time. All this is due to the high number of big streamers they have acquired, like Trainwreckstv and Adin Ross. Both of these streamers got partial ownership of the site after they joined. Now fans wondered whether xQc also did get some sort of equity as a part of his deal. This question from the fans was voiced by Pokimane, who was streaming alongside xQc on Twitch.

In answer to her question, the 27-year-old replied, “Um, can I talk about that? Yeah, I can talk about that.” Pokimane was quick to jump on that and made a quippy remark stating, “That’s a yes, if he said, ‘Can I talk about that?'” However, xQc cleared all the doubts of the streamer and the viewers. He revealed he did get an option to get equity as part of his deal. Furthermore, the streamer believes in the new platform he is joining.

He further shared, “For sure, and so what I thought was that equity means that, if I go super hard, I get a part of what I do. And I really believe that.” By getting equity in Kick, xQc wants to show fans he has put his money where his mouth is. He went on to say how getting equity will reward him in the long run, and he sees this as a business opportunity.
