The works of Tom Clancy are some of the biggest IPs under Ubisoft. Their work behind Rainbow Six Siege is quite well known. It looks like the creators of the upcoming title, Rainbow Six Extraction, have plans to borrow from the previous title. This is being done in accordance with each operator’s ability.

Ubisoft executive reveals plans for Rainbow Six Extraction

Ubisoft is all set to release the latest installment in the Tom Clancy universe. Rainbow Six Extraction is scheduled for release in January 2022. The game will premiere with the iconic operators from Rainbow Six Siege. There is a considerable difference between the essence of both of these games. The previous one revolved around counter-terrorism units adopting unique strategies to win against the rival team.

Rainbow Six Extraction, on the other hand, focuses on a Player versus Enemy environment. Players will work together to defeat the alien horde. The operators in the prior iteration of the franchise were designed keeping in mind PvP elements. However, the spin-off features PvE combat. Keeping that in mind, there will be a slight difference between operators.

Patrik Methe, Creative Director of this upcoming title, provided some insight about this. He recently gave an interview to PLAY Magazine in which he revealed that the team was quite passionate about the operators which will be featured. Some gadgets have to be tweaked keeping in mind the nature of the title.

He also added that the team tried not to stray from the core essence of each of the operators. Keeping this in mind, minor adjustments were made for some, major ones for others.

All in all, the aim is to provide the best roster for a PvE experience. As of now, the game’s roster consists of 18 operators. Gridlock, Alibi, Nomad, Smoke, Ela, Sledge, Lion, Vigil, Hibana, Doc, Finka, and Pulse will be reappearing in this spin-off. Players whose favorite operators did not make the cut should not be disheartened. As per the game’s official website, 6 unnamed operators are all set to make an appearance as well.

It looks like players will have to wait for release fate to see what this game is all about.
