Amidst all the chaos happening post his Twitter controversy, the popular streamer FaZe NickMercs has come up with a statement to address his fans. The ongoing controversy has the community divided. This is the first response by the streamer after Call Of Duty makers decided to remove his skin from the title.

NickMercs made the headlines when he tweeted, “They should leave the children alone. That’s the real issue”, responding to a video of some people attacking the participants of a pride parade. Following the tweet, the streamer received severe backlash for being LGBTQ activists as he appeared to support the attackers. As a reaction to the backlash later, Activision made the decision to take off the “NickMercs Operator” bundle from the title.

NickMercs Finally Responds 

Fans were left surprised when the makers of Call of Duty decided to remove NickMercs’s skin from the game. Now, for the first time, the streamer has broken his silence on the makers’ action. Friends are created in good times, but families are built through adversity. Appreciate all of you that have my back, understand my position as a new father & recognize the love I have for all. Ain’t no hate in this heart. P&L”, he wrote to the fans, extending his appreciation and gratitude to his supporters.

The official Call of Duty handle had earlier confirmed the removal of the bundle tweeting, “ We are focused on celebration PRIDE with our employees and our community.” The action taken wasn’t received quite well in the gaming community. Defending NickMercs his fans stated that the opinion falls under the freedom of expression. A lot of big names have come in support of the streamer.
