The release date of Ebb Software’s upcoming Xbox exclusive horror game finally is delayed once again, as it was initially announced in May 2020. Unfortunately, this title will not arrive anytime sooner as it has now slipped to a late October date in 2022. It implies that interested Xbox Series X and Series S owners will have to wait for another year for this chilling project.
Inspired by notable artists like H.R. Giger (Alien), Scorn is totally an atmospheric FPS horror adventure project, according to developer Ebb. H.R. Giger was a Swiss artist who was widely known for making airbrushed pictures. He blended human physiques with machines in his works. This art style is mostly known as “biomechanical”. In a way, it’s a fascinating way of showing and conveying imagination and abstract thoughts.

Scorn’s story is set in a nightmarish world of weird forms and somber tapestry. Ebb Software says that the plot revolves around the concept of ‘being thrown into the world’. The game deals with being lost inside a dark environment. While playing it, players will experience various interrelated areas in a very non-linear manner. And of course, the overall unsettling atmosphere will act as a character in itself.
In this Xbox exclusive, every particular location has its own theme, puzzles, and mysterious characters. They are all integral in creating this entire, cohesive world of Scorn, says Ebb. Additionally, players will have options to enhance their skills and weapons as they progress through each quest. This means they can acquire extra fighting abilities when necessary, depending on the challenges.
