It is no secret that Rockstar’s GTA 5 has reserved a special place in every fan’s heart. Despite spending a decade in the markets, the game ranks among the elites, pushing users to stay glued to their screens for hours. Plus, the devs kept adding updates to keep up the hype as the community kept questioning the sequel. In other words, the question lies that why wouldn’t they? Rockstar has been promising the game for quite some time, but there has been no official information from the team.

Sadly, this gave birth to a plethora of leaks and rumors, with the informants trying their best to find content. And this, indirectly affected the devs, making them much more tight-lipped about any updates. So, looking at that, a popular Rockstar informant decided to leak some more info, but this time it was about the game’s release.

Avid Rockstar Insider claims GTA 6 to be broken down into parts

Keeping all rumors in mind, fans are aware of GTA 6 possibly getting a late 2024 or 2025 release, as Rockstar has no plans to delay it further. But now, we have information that states the game is to be released in parts, with Rockstar plotting a possible DLC.

According to the popular Rockstar insider Tez2, GTA 6’s feature is ‘given’ in 2023. But, there are multiple loopholes in it, and here’s what the informant had to say. “Their aimed-always-changing-not-set-in-stone deadline is holiday 2024”, Tez2 claimed. “Which has been pushed back multiple times the past few years. Unfortunately, it could slip into early 2025 as well”.

Followed by that, he also explained how the pandemic affected gaming companies as they had to delay top-grossing titles. For instance, Activision Blizzard faced major issues with employees working from the office as the COVID-19 guidelines forced them not to. This became a serious issue as they had to put a halt on production for multiple games.

Similarly, Tez2 believes Rockstar to go through the same situation, so they might break down the game and drop a DLC later.

Last but not the least, Rockstar’s goofy behavior has caused turmoil in the community as fans are fed up playing the same games. After all, multiple of their IPs stand canceled for now, which leads to the question of what’s next?
