Amidst all the buzz around an imminent patch announcement, makers have officially unveiled the release date along with all the appealing improvements planned.

The two-year-old journey of the 343 Industries’ developed Xbox exclusive has been through some eventful phases. Considering a big drop in the player base of the sixth label under the franchise, the stakes were very high with the release of Season 5. Apparently, the developers haven’t been disappointed. Following the season 5 success story, fans are all invested in what the makers have to offer with the upcoming patch. Well, the wait is ending sooner than expected. 

The Halo Infinite patch update arriving in hours

The constant speculations of a possible patch update have turned out to be rather true and the date of release is closer than the fans had projected. The Halo Support officially confirmed the details through their social media. According to their latest post, the Halo Infinite patch update is arriving on October 26, Thursday, which is in hours.

The post also highlights the major changes and updates that the players can expect with the patch’s arrival. This includes a significant improvement in the Vsync refresh rate of monitors with 120 Hz or higher. Also, a lot of complaints players were facing while selecting items in Forge have been considered by the devs and are being resolved in the upcoming update. The Armor Hall stability will also be addressed in the new patch.

The unfortunate decline in popularity that Halo Infinite had witnessed after its release accounted for a lot of issues that the players’ beloved could be addressed. The long list of complaints included the absence of certain game modes, non-progressive systems, and a lack of immersive features. However, Season 5 tends to tick all the boxes for an ideal Halo action-packed experience.

With the release of Season 5, player counts experienced a notable uptick. The number of concurrent users on Steam increased to 18,000 on October 18, which was the biggest peak the game has seen in the 17 months since the release of Season 2. Thanks to this increase, Halo Infinite quickly rose into the top 50 titles on Steam in terms of concurrent players.

Season 5 has more peak players than any of the preceding seasons, including Seasons 4 and 3. For example, Season 5’s first day had 18,007 players, but Season 4’s first day had only 12,705 players. With Day 5 of Season 5 reaching a peak player count of 15,467—much more than Season 4’s 8,831—the trend continued.
