Recently, a real-life sniper happened to witness Call of Duty Modern Warfare II’s intense, action-filled experience. Simply put, he wanted to see if Activision’s record-breaking blockbuster was true to reality or not. It seems like the game succeeded in swaying the former U.S. Army sniper in more ways than one.

Sniper gives insane reaction to Call of Duty Modern Warfare II’s ‘Recon By Fire’ Campaign mission

In one of its latest videos, Gamology featured a former U.S. Army sniper, Richard Maynes. He had to react to Call of Duty Modern Warfare II’s single-player Campaign mode and share his opinions. The clip showcases some interesting moments of Richard getting impressed with the gameplay mechanics of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II. The mission he was reacting to was ‘Recon By Fire’ – it is one of the single-player quests featured in the AAA blockbuster.

Modern Warfare II eventually ends up swaying the sniper. While reacting to the aforementioned mission, Richard mentions that he believes that whatever is shown in the game regarding sniping is mostly true to reality. Which is a big win for the best-selling title of 2022. “That is accurate. Dead On!”, he says while praising the game’s awareness about actual sniping mechanisms. In fact, he was mesmerized so much that he requested MWII’s makers to put him in it so he can showcase his skills too.
