The internet is a quagmire of unsavoury moments and drama waiting to happen. With the meteoric rise of streaming as a viable career, that fact has become more apparent than ever. Case in point: this year saw the infamous Pokimane-JiDion drama that quickly ballooned to include Fortnite star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. However, in a refreshing twist, an upcoming Valkyrae drama was extinguished before it could flare up.

The Streamer Awards 2022 was the source of some incredibly entertaining and wholesome moments. One of the fan-favorite moments was the Streamer Awards recap video, which Valkyre had some hot-takes on. But as QTCinderella soon realised, it wasn’t the entire truth.

Valkyrae and QTCindrella resolve the Streamer Awards beef

For the uninitiated, Valkyrae recently gave her take on the Streamer Awards 2022. She held the event in high regard, even praising QTCinderella and Maya Higa for organising such a massive event. But in a clip taken out of context, the 100 Thieves co-owner was seen discussing the Recap video. And in her own words, “There wasn’t like, a single person from like OTV….”

Rae also added that the video seemed oriented OTK. As you can imagine, this rubbed many the wrong way. Especially QTCinderella, who responded with “That’s an unfair comment.”

‘The Queen of YouTube’ also noted that they showed people who left Twitch for YouTube, but it did not include her. To which QT retorted that Rae left the platform in 2020, while they included people who left in 2021.

However, the spiciest part is yet to come. Valkyrae quickly added that the ‘Among Us’ segment failed to include herself and many of her peers. It is this statement that broke through to QT, who somberly said, “Oh that makes me feel really bad.”

To make up for the error, she apologized profusely on stream to everyone who didn’t make the cut, especially since she approved the video. But in an adorable turn of events, Valkyrae and QT connected on a call, and what followed was a cornucopia of apologies and praises from the two. Rae emphasized she loved the event and that the out-of-context clip paints a very skewed picture. This tweet captures it perfectly.

QT, on her end, noted that it was fair feedback, and that she aims to do better next year. It’s not everyday netizens get to see a drama resolve before their eyes, but it’s surely a wholesome feeling.
