The Esports gaming scene is mostly dominated by the younger demographic in both aspects, creators and viewers. This is why the pro-Valorant star and ex-CS: GO legend, Tarik, couldn’t believe he is still in the scene, despite his age. 

Other notable figures in the industry, such as Valkyrae, Sapnap, and recent actress-turned-streamer, Grace Van Dien, shared their wishes, while hilariously giving a reality check to the not-so-young Valorant star. The social media platform Twitter was flooded with wholesome remarks as well as hilarious jabs towards Tarik on his birthday.

Tarik Celik is one of the most notable players in the CS: GO Esports scene. From an early age, Celik had a passion for the gaming culture. He even dreamt of pursuing the field as a career, yet growing up in a conservative Turkish-American family, his plans were highly discouraged.

However, it wasn’t enough to stop the aspiring gamer. From his high school days he started actively taking part in the CS: GO communities. Eventually, he garnered the confidence and necessary means to start streaming on Twitch. After a while, Celik became a notable face on the streaming platform due to his aggressive playstyle and hilarious sense of humor.

Tarik has been a part of many Esports teams, including Counter Logic Gaming, OpTic Gaming, Cloud9, MIBR, NRG, and Evil Geniuses. After retiring from the pro scene, Tarik became a full-time streamer on Twitch, making close connections with some of the biggest individual creators and content houses. 

On his birthday on February 18, Tarik posted on Twitter, “How the f*ck am I already 27?” In the reply section, one of the biggest female streamers in the world, Valyrae said, “HHAPPPY BIRTH TARIKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.” Similarly, Minecraft streamer Sapnap said, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG MAN.” 

The renowned Netflix actress Grace Van Dien also wished, “happyyy birthday lil broooooo.” Many other streamers and fans also jumped into show the comment sections to show their support.

Fans were also present to show their love alongside the streamers. In the comments, many of them shared their love for the veteran streamer along with giving him a slight reality check of the thing that he is now an ‘old man’.
