The popular gaming title Valorant has attained mass popularity since its release. But as is the case with most games, Valorant too has its fair share of flaws. Recently, people have come out and expressed their disapproval over the price of the skins and other in-game items.

The expensive in-game accessories like agents, skins, bundles, cosmetic features, and more have been the object of ire. Fans believe that all these in-game accessories are very over-priced and would make a hole in the wallet if you were to purchase them.

Speaking of, recently, a Reddit user has mentioned just how the game sometimes features prices that are unreasonable. According to the user, upgrading the ‘Magepunk’ skin for the weapon ‘Sheriff’ to its maximum level and adding just one color will cost almost double the base price of the weapon’s skin.

On the 4th of February 2022, one Reddit user named Kj0r made this post on the Reddit community page of Valorant.

According to Kj0r, upgrading the Magepunk skin of Sheriff to the max and adding a color (Variant) will cost around 3550 VP. It’s because the base price of Magepunk skin is 1775 VP and the Variant costs an additional 15 RP. No doubt spending 3.5K VP in the game for just upgrading a skin with such a hefty amount isn’t something everyone would be open to.

For the uninitiated, “VP” is short for Valorant Points and “RP” is Radianite Points, both of which are the in-game currencies that can be used to upgrade and purchase various in-game accessories. However, as with most games, what’s disheartening is the only way to earn these in-game currencies is to purchase them using real money.
